Stereo Compositions for Lonely Frogs and Dying Moths

This project was recorded in the Maine woods during the Summer of 2001. The piece started by noticing two frogs whose ponds were separated by quite a distance of land. The frogs could call and respond all night long, but would never reach each other due to the distance between them. At the same time there were a large number of Luna months ending their migration in the woods. The moths migration concludes by them dying very slowly over several days. So these compositions were my simple attempt to capture and pay homage to the summer soundtrack going on around me. All of the sounds came directly from the frogs and moths, then were arranged and composed in an A-side/B-side format. The A-side is a straight recording and mix of the two sound sources. The B-side contains two remixes of the A-side.
